Front sea apartment

 

 

This beachfront apartment in Quarteira was completely renovated with the intention of turning it into an holiday home, in which the panoramic view over the sea was transported to its interior, both in colors and in the small details.

As soon as we enter the apartment, we have vertical wooden slats creating a division between the entrance and the kitchen, formerly a separate area from the living room, in now open plan so that the entire room has a direct view over the sea. The wood element and natural fibers were introduced to add to the space a feeling of greater comfort and character.

Since the apartment area was limited and lacked storage space, the wall that divides this open space from the bedroom was transformed into a wide cupboard with storage in both areas. In the kitchen/ living room area, the cupboard has storage for towels and kitchen acessories and on the opposite side, in the bedroom, it became a closet.

The previous bathroom had no window and therefore the wall that divided the bedroom from the bathroom was replaced by a translucent glass wall, allowing the natural light to pass through the bedroom to the bathroom and keeping privacy between the two spaces at the same time.
